Visual Novel Portraits Template

Want to make a VN, but having trouble thinking up idle poses for your characters? This is a template/base for sketching VN portraits, with poses that are varied and interesting to look at while not being awkward to hold over multiple lines of dialogue. 

There are 18 unique poses over 4 different body types with minor variations for each pose. In whole, that comes to 72 separate bases. Each page contains the pose itself, as well as three headshots that can be used to draw expressions for the portraits.

Put together using 3D models, so you can see a faint guide for the curvature of the body. You can trace over it directly, or just use it as a reference for the anatomy. Body types are separated by gender, but they're only bases so you should be able to draw any character you want over them.

The download contains a zip file with all the bases in PNG form, and also a PDF that can be printed out and sketched over by hand. As a bonus, a character bio template is included that can be used to make a design reference before you draw the portraits.
